LEAD ANIMATOR – RWCAN7014 – Montreal, QC CANANDA
Job Summary:
- Duties: Bring to life unique, appealing and most of all believable characters in both in-game and cinematic scenarios;

- Manage and coach the animation team;

Person Specification:
- Experience and Qualifications: Diploma in 3D animation or equivalent experience; 3 to 5 years experience in 3D animation in the video game industry; at least 1 as a Lead; Bilingual.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of hardware platform limitations; Knowledge in Animation software such as 3DSMax and Maya.

Person Specification:
- Experience and Qualifications
o 4+ years of industry experience in 3D animation.
o Must have shipped at least one full videogame production, preferably next-gen.
o Formal education in 3D animation is preferred, though not an essential – exceptional 2D education also an asset.
o While a working knowledge of Maya is preferred, experience with any 3D package is accepted.
- Technical Skills:
o Must display a strong understanding of animation fundamentals.
o An understanding of human body and facial anatomy is an asset.
o Good communicative skills and the ability to illustrate ideas are essential.
o Insight into animation pipeline and motion-capture experience is a bonus.
o A talent for cinematography, facial animation/lip-sync, and a keenness to explore acting principles is a must.

Requirements
- Animation experience with at least 2-4 years. Cinematic/games production experience, 1–2 years. (Feature film a big plus)

Currently looking for a talented Lead Animator to manage the Animation pipeline, team and motion capture for the project.
Responsibilities
- Leading a team of 12 animation and character artists
- Offering guidance and mentoring for junior to senior level animators
- Liaising with external mocap facilities in order to deliver data of the highest quality

Required Experience
