Responsibilities
- Create high quality key-framed and motion capture animations, demonstrating a strong sense of posing, timing, and weight

FX ARTIST (Mid-Senior Levels) (JGWI2087) Middleton, WI
Responsibilities
- Create impressive, new-gen effects utilizing 3d, 2d, and compositing skills in state of the art software
- Collaborate with creative directors and project leads to craft visual effects solutions to gameplay mechanics
- Develop creative direction regarding visual effects in terms of techniques and style
- Work with peers to advise on development, implementation, and optimization of effects
- Craft in-game and pre-rendered visual effects, and specialty post-production work for game cinematics or promotional movies
- Assist with other art tasks as assigned, including light 2d, 3d, or concept tasks where strengths are demonstrated
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in developing effects on AAA titles for either Playstation, Xbox, or PC
- Demonstrably high proficiency in crafting graphics, basic 3d assets, materials/shaders, and particle systems
- Technically savvy and experienced, able to learn new packages or proprietary tools quickly
- Articulate and able to offer ability to create both science fiction/fantasy and realistic assets effectively

Job duties include
- Develop 3D prop and modular environment models from concept thru production
- Develop textures and skins for models
- Assist with other art tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in developing prop and modular environment models, textures, and skins or Mod community experience with a substantial 2d and 3d portfolio
- Ability to construct and elaborate on environments and objects based on key reference or concepts
o Buildings, terrain, interiors, weapons, etc.
o Ability to model a designer’s schematic into a robust, populated environment
- Experience working with multi-pass shader effects
o diffuse maps, specular maps, bump maps, normal maps, etc
- Experienced with managing polygon count and texture budgets
- Solid traditional art skills
- Good people skills and the ability to excel in a creative and positive manner
o Ability to work well with the Sr. Artists and designers and meet functional, technical, and aesthetic goals.
o Ability to work with designer and other artists on all aspects of 3D environment content ranging from modeling and texturing to exporting the asset into the game.
- Knowledgeable in Maya, 3DSMax, or similar tools for high and low poly modeling
- Proficient in Photoshop / Experience with Zbrush and/or Mudbox

- Work with programmers and artists to transition concepts to production art.
